Generation Now;
Well done to Katie from Charlestown, winner of the All-Ireland 2011 Generation Now. Katie will be having a fantastic year including working on London Fashion Week. Katie's year-long programme includes runway work, fashion shoots and seminars from the UK's finest. Katie was selected from over 150 entries to scoop a place on the team.

Irish Hair Championships;
House of Colour won the two awards in the Trainee section. This year we only entered these sections but won them both with Danielle from Abbey St and Stacey from Lucan bringing the Gold home. Congratulations also to Lauryn and Anja who came in the top 5 in the two categories.

L'Oreal Colour Trophy;
An amazing night at the Grand Final saw Sarah and Jamie from Abbey St win the Mens Image award with their retro-chic look. Shauna and Jen from Liffey St took home 3rd place in the Colour Trophy and the team partied the night away in Krystal to celebrate.

Style Council;
Olive, Carla and Nadine have been accepted to join Style Council. Wella have put together the finest hairstylists in Ireland and the three girls are delighted to be on board. They will perform educational seminars both nationally and internationally.

Charity Walk;
Our 7 mile charity fancy dress walk for Autism Ireland from Clontarf to Howth saw us raise over €5000 euro. Keith Duffy was on hand to cheer the team on as everyone headed in fancy dress to raise money.

Master Colour Programme;
Well done to Mary, Liz and Tracy who passed their Master Colour programme degree with flying colours.

Irish Hairdresser of the Year 2010;
History was created at the RDS in March 2010 as House of Colour cleaned up winning the top 3 awards in Irish hairdressing.
Carla from Wellington Quay has won the Irish Hairdresser of the Year.
Shauna, who is also from Wellington quay has also won Irish Trainee hairstylist of the Year with Katie from Charlestown winning the Team Ireland award.

Olive has become the first Irish girl to ever make FAME TEAM uk. Over 1500 applicants battled there way through the heats to earn there place as the team that will represent Ireland and Britain world wide throughout 2010. Included is a trip to Australia to showcase hair work and demonstrate to thousands of hairdressers.
"I cant believe it, it really is a dream come through" said Olive.

ID Artists; 2010
Carla from Wellington Quay has auditioned and been accepted onto the L'Oreal ID artist team . Carla was among over 80 hopefuls who wanted to secure a coveted place on the all Ireland team who travel the country showcasing L'Oreal's latest collections.

House of Colour Hair Awards 2009;
House of Colour Charlestown were voted Salon of the Year for the first time and the team celebrated as directors Lauren and Emma received there award.
The Gresham hotel was packed with over 200 team and guests as the star studded affair moved venues in January.
The group voted for the best of 2009 and the atmosphere was electric as the team celebrated into the small hours of the morning.
"it is amazing" said Emma, "it is a tribute to the entire team at Charlestown and myself and Lauren cannot thank them enough".
Other big awards on the night seen Abbey st win Assistant team and customer service awards. Capel st also won 2 awards which were Retail advice and Gold star award which is based on mystery shoppers visiting the salons.The manager Marcus gave an inspirational speech as he thanked the Team for their dedication.
Wellington Quay won Creative salon and also had Nadine pick up the ICON award with Carla winning the prestigious Paul Byrne Award.
The Creative Team 2009 were voted into the Hall of Fame with June Lawless from the foundation course winning overall Foundation student of the Year.

Irish Hairdressing Business Awards; 2009
The Shelbourne hotel played host to these national awards were House of Colour picked up 3 awards on the evening.
The group were entered into the Hall of Fame for there Training Academy after winning the award 3 years running The national Customer service award was also won and we had 3 mangers make it to the top 6 in Ireland with Marcus, Mary and Ailing competing with managers from all the other hair salons in Ireland , with Aisling the eventual winner.

Trendsetter Awards 2009
Five hundred people turned up at the Tripod venue in Dublin to witness the next generation of talent from house of colour as the assistants and foundation students were asked to produce a cut and colour model and have it judged onstage.
The judges were left with a hard job as the standard was amazing and the crowd were treated to a show from the creative team which Nadine , Ericka and Chris ended up getting a standing ovation from.

ID Artists;
Darren and Nadine have created history, they have been selected to join Olive and for the first time ever 3 people from the same group will be on the loreal ID artist team. The Id team travel the UK and Europe doing seminars and Fashion shows for Loreal. The likes of London fashion week sees the team preparing hair backstage for the biggest names in the fashion industry.

Hairdressing Awards;
The Creative team were the big winners on the evening scooping 3 awards at the national hairdressing awards.The shelbourne hotel was the venue in june as the cream of irish hairdressing turned up for the annual event to see the best of Irish and international hairdressing rewarded for there contribution to the industry. Patrick Cameron was awarded the international icon award by the executive committee of irish hasirdressing. Olive from Liffey st received an all star award and in an emotional speech thanked all of the team but in particular the Creative team for there help and inspiration. The creative team then won Creative team of the Year and Carla and Ericka beat off stiff competition to win the long hair and avant garde photographic awards.

The park inn hotel was packed as the entire group turned up to enjoy an amazing night were every team member votes for there stars of 2008. Charlestown won 2 awards in there first year with Lauren and Emma , the directors , giving an huge thank you to their team. Wellington quay won assistant Team of the Year, Liffey st scooped the gold star award and Capel st won creative salon for the 4th year running.
Individual awards went to Carla from Wellington quay for Teacher of the Year, Olive and Emma were voted onto the hall of fame and Brian won the much coveted Paul Byrne award.

Trendsetter awards 2008
Our annual assistant hair styling competition took place, with a crowd of over 600 turning up to see Shauna from Wellington Quay win the excellence section and Anna from Capel st win the graduate section. The foundation competition was won by Ena. At the interval the crowd were treated to a preview of the creative teams 2009 collection. Carla, Ericka and Leona got a fantastic reception for their stage work and the evening finished off with a late night celebration at the after show party.

April 2008 - European Hair Championships
Darren from Capel Street, Carla from Wellington Quay and Saffia from Liffey Street have been chosen to represent Ireland in Paris at the European Open competition. They will join team Ireland in their bid to bring home the gold medal at this year's event.

April 2008 - Velvet

April 2008 - Talent Spotting Winner
Olive from our Liffey Street Salon has won the L'Oréal Talentspotting semi final, held at the Guinness Storehouse. A crowd of over 400 turned up to see Olive present the new Barcode colour technique and put on a live hair show, which received a standing ovation. Olive now travels to London for the final against six other hair stylists from the UK. the amazing prize is a year long contract to perform with L'Oréal in London, Rome and Barcelona. Charlestown Opening
House of colour have launched a brand new 5 star luxurious salon in Charlestown shopping centre. The salon is 2000 sq ft with massage shampoo chairs and 50 ft ceilings. Sunday opening and late night Wednesday makes it a lot easier to pamper yourself. Contact 8041725.

Manager Promotion
Lauren and Emma have been appointed junior partners and are now running our latest venture in Charlestown. In there place Suzanne has been promoted to manager of Wellington quay after very successful spell in our training cantre. Darren has taken up the position in Capel st after leading our creative team to a record number of awards in past 2 years. And finally Aisling has moved to our flagship salon in Liffey st after a fantastic 2 years in Capel st. Congratulations to you all.

Icon Awards at the Shelbourne
Darren was nominated by the Irish hair Federation for an All Star award at this year ball. He became the 18th person in Ireland to receive the All Star award for achievements in hairdressing. In his speach he thanked everyone who had ever helped him in his career but especially the team in Capel st who were his inspiration.

House of Colour hair awards
There was a fantastic turnout in January at our annual awards ceremony. The teams from each salon battled it out to see who would come out with the top award. Over 200 people turned up to party the night away and the athmosphere was electric. In the individual sections Zara and Darren were elected to the Hall of Fame. Zara won Teacher of the Year for the 3rd year running and David was voted top colourist in the group. Sophie was coordinator of the year while the covoted Paul Byrne memorial award went to Ericka.
The Salon awards were the highlight of the evening and saw Capel st win Assistant team of the year aswell as Creative Salon of the year. Abbey st won Customer service award and Wellington quay took home the Retail advice award. The biggest cheer of the night went to the Salon of the Year, there was a standing ovation as Liffey st won for the 2nd time in there history. The manager, Emma, gave an emotional speech where she thanked the best team in the world for making every day a pleasure. The celebrating went on till the early hours and the competition has already started for 2009.

Trendsetter awards
Capel st were the outstanding winners as there asst team swept all before them in 2007. This year the in house competition between our assistants was held at the tripod. Over 500 turned up to see our assts showcase there fashion models onstage. The fantasy and foundation section were very hard fought and the judges said the standard of the hair work was amazing.
